"September 2019"

The Canadian Council of Child and Youth Advocates (Council) is an alliance of Advocates, Representatives, and Ombudsman that spans across 10 provinces and two territories, who hold legislative mandates to uphold the rights of children and youth in Canada. Major work has been accomplished by the Council in their respective jurisdictions on the issue of youth suicide. This national paper provides findings resulting from an in-depth analysis of the vast scope of work by members of the Council and calls on the federal government to make change.
